Question 1

Are your officers licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Rangers Recon Security Group LLC operates as a licensed security services contractor under the Texas DPS Private Security Bureau. Every officer holds the appropriate state registration for their assignment — Level II for unarmed, Level III for armed, Level IV for personal protection. We carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and certificates of insurance are available on request.

Question 2

How quickly can you deploy officers?

Accepted Answer

Standard contracts are typically staffed within 24 to 72 hours of a signed agreement. For emergency coverage — a failed vendor, a break-in, a high-risk termination — we can often place officers the same day. Call dispatch directly at (254) 604-4110 for urgent requests.

Question 3

What does security cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on post type, armed or unarmed, hours per week, and location. Unarmed posts start lower than armed; specialist details such as executive protection and K9 are quoted individually. We provide written hourly rates with no hidden overtime or administrative surcharges, and we will tell you honestly if you need fewer hours than you asked for.

Question 4

Do you require a long-term contract?

Accepted Answer

No. We offer ongoing contracts, short-term coverage, single-event details, and emergency fill-in. Many clients start with a 30-day trial period before committing to a longer term.

Question 5

What areas of Texas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We operate cells across the state, including Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Amarillo, Waco, and Beaumont. If your site falls outside a current cell, contact us — we regularly stand up coverage in new markets.

Question 6

Armed or unarmed — which do we need?

Accepted Answer

Most commercial and residential posts are well served by professional unarmed officers. Armed coverage is appropriate for cash handling, high-value inventory, documented violent incident history, or insurance-mandated posts. If you are unsure, our security assessment will give you a straight recommendation rather than an upsell.

Question 7

How are your officers screened and trained?

Accepted Answer

Every hire undergoes criminal background investigation, employment verification, and pre-employment drug screening. Officers complete state-required training plus internal instruction in de-escalation, report writing, emergency medical response, and post-specific procedures. Armed officers maintain firearms qualification.

Question 8

What reporting do we receive?

Accepted Answer

Every shift generates a digital daily activity report. Incidents generate a separate photo-documented incident report delivered to your designated contact. Patrol contracts include GPS-verified checkpoint data so you can confirm coverage independently.

Question 9

Can officers wear our branding or a specific uniform?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We match uniform standards to the environment — full tactical, standard patrol uniform, blazer and slacks for corporate lobbies, or plainclothes for discreet details. Client-branded apparel can be accommodated for long-term contracts.

Question 10

What happens if an officer does not show up?

Accepted Answer

Dispatch monitors post check-ins in real time. A missed check-in triggers supervisor escalation and a replacement officer is dispatched. Uncovered hours are not billed.

Question 11

Do you provide security for one-time events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Weddings, galas, concerts, festivals, corporate conferences, and private parties are a core part of our work. Event details include a pre-event site survey and a written staffing plan.

Question 12

How do we get started?

Accepted Answer

Call (254) 604-4110 or submit a brief through our contact page. We will schedule a site walk or a phone consultation, deliver a written assessment and quote, and place officers once the agreement is signed.
